Members and roles

Each workspace has one owner and can have admins and members. Membership is specific to that workspace: someone can be an admin in one workspace and a member in another.

Action Owner Admin Member
Use workspace data and product features Yes Yes Yes
Manage API tokens Yes Yes No
Invite or remove members Yes Members only No
Invite admins or change member roles Yes No No
View workspace billing Yes Yes No
Change the subscription or accept billing Yes No No
Rename, transfer, or delete the workspace Yes No No

Product features still require the workspace’s active subscription where applicable. Member is not a read-only role. Admins cannot manage another admin or the owner. Payment methods and invoice access have an additional payer restriction described in Billing and ownership.

  1. Select the workspace and open Settings → Members.
  2. In Invite a member, enter the teammate’s email address.
  3. Select Member, or Admin if you are the owner and want to grant administrative access.
  4. Select Send invitation.

The invitation appears under Pending invitations. The recipient receives an email and must accept it before becoming a member. Invitations expire after seven days.

  1. Open the invitation link from your email.
  2. If prompted, select Sign in to accept and sign in with the verified email address that received it.
  3. Select Accept invitation.
  4. On the Workspaces page, select the workspace you just joined.

Accepting the invitation adds the workspace to your list. Selecting it opens its overview, or subscription setup if its subscription is inactive. You do not need to leave your existing workspaces to join another one.

If the link belongs to another email, sign in with the invited address. For an expired or replaced invitation, ask the sender to resend it and use the newest email.

Open Pending invitations on the Members page.

  • Resend sends a new invitation and replaces the previous link. The new invitation has a fresh seven-day expiry.
  • Revoke removes the pending invitation so it can no longer be accepted.

Owners can manage invitations for either role. Admins can manage member invitations. Revoking an invitation does not remove someone who has already joined; use the Members table for existing access.

The Members table shows each person’s name, email, role, and available actions.

As the owner, choose Member or Admin beside a person and select Save role. Sending another invitation to an existing member does not update their role.

Use Remove to end a membership. Owners can remove admins or members; admins can remove members. The person loses access on subsequent workspace requests, while the workspace’s data and API tokens remain available to the team.

An owner must transfer ownership before leaving. An assigned billing payer cannot leave, be removed, or be demoted below admin until billing handover is complete. People who want to leave can use Settings → Advanced → Leave workspace.

API tokens belong to the workspace and continue to work when their creator leaves. Review tokens separately when offboarding someone who had access to their secrets.
